Mr. Hart started his training in the Filipino Martial Art of Inayan Eskrima in 1984. He was introduced to the founder Mangisursuro Michael G. Inay in 1985 in the mountains near Los Gatos CA. Suro accepted him as a student in exchange for labor done around his property and for the Inayan School.

In 1988, Suro Inay opened his home to Mr. Hart to live and train as his private student. Mr. Hart lived intermittently with Suro Inay and became Suro Inay’s sparing partner until the time of Suro’s death on September 27, 2000. During this time, Mr. Hart contributed greatly in the development of both the Inayan System of Eskrima (ISE) and the Inayan Training Organization (ITO). As Suro Mike Inay’s sparing partner, Mr. Hart worked on the development of the Reactive Knife Defense (RKD) and Pressure Sensitive Nerve Areas (PSNA) programs as well as independent programs for teaching four styles within Inayan Eskrima. Throughout the 90’s, Suro Inay and Mr. Hart toured the United States & Europe conducting private and public seminars in Inayan Eskrima. On two occasions while touring in Europe, they produced five videos encompassing three Inayan styles. Mr. Hart spent over 15 years studying from the founder learning the subtleties of teaching Inayan Eskrima correctly.

On December 11, 1999, the founder of Inayan Eskrima, Mangisursuro Michael G. Inay named Mr. Hart as one of three heirs to the Inayan System of Eskrima.

Mr. Hart is currently teaching adult and children classes as well as Law Enforcement programs in the United States and Europe. Mr. Hart has dedicated his life to the preservation of Inayan Eskrima as taught to him by Suro Mike Inay. As a founding member of the Inayan Brotherhood of Eskrima, Mr. Hart continues to train, and travel the world teaching and developing students as an instructor for Inayan Systems International.
